There's been a sharp decline in COVID-19 infections and deaths over the past month in Pakistan.
Like many countries, Pakistan was not immune from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the shutdowns that took place to slow the spread of the disease.
Close to 300,000 people have been infected, and more than 6,100 people have died from the virus, according to a Johns Hopkins count.
Early on, Pakistan struggled with adequate testing and facilities. And while the country has made progress, it's also doing what it can to prevent a second wave.
Ambassador Munir Akram, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the U.N., explains how the country is dealing with the pandemic.
