COVID-19: Avoiding a housing a crisis

A national moratorium on evictions has taken effect on September 1st, protecting tenants who lost their incomes during the pandemic and now cannot pay their rent. 

The new order, issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, will protect around 40 million renters until the end of the year. 

Many experts warn that housing market risks could lead to a bigger financial crisis, if the U.S. government doesn't come up with more comprehensive solution soon.
