Learning pods have become all the rage in the United States as many school districts have opted for remote-only learning or hybrid options where students are in school only a few days a week. 

But cost is a factor as hiring a tutor or teacher for a pod can be pricey. 

Families with tighter budgets are coming up with alternatives, including parent run co-ops.
