The COVID-19 virus is surging rapidly throughout India.

More than 4.3 million cases have been confirmed in the country, second only to the U.S. and surpassing Brazil in the number of cases.

Shyam Sharma, a TV producer in New Delhi, got the virus in June. As the country was struggling with the growing burden of cases, he would spend weeks in the hospital while his two children and his wife spent two weeks at a quarantine center.
