The U.S.-based Chinese director Chloe Zhao won the 77th Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for her work 'Nomadland'. Zhao said she felt "honored" following in the footsteps of previous female winners of the top Venice Film Festival prize and hoped for more diverse storytelling in the future.
