The U.S economy was growing at a clip before COVID-19 struck.  But so was the gap between rich and poor, or as it's often called income inequality.

And for many, this summer’s racial justice protests have also been a reckoning over that growing wealth divide. 

But President Donald Trump and his opponent Joe Biden have very different approaches on how to resolve it as they contest the upcoming election.
