U.S.-China tensions continue to ratchet-up

The clock is ticking in the U.S. over the forced sale of social media sensation TikTok’s U.S. operations. 

After U.S. President Trump set a deadline of September 15 and over the weekend there was a flurry of corporate activity.

The result? TikTok’s Chinese parent, ByteDance, announced leading bidder Microsoft is out. Data storage and software giant Oracle is in.
