It comes as no surprise that the coronavirus pandemic is producing devastating economic effects around the world. 

The virus caused millions of people to lose their jobs, and economic growth has come to a halt. But in Mexico, one part of the economy is growing. 

Migrant remittances, or the migrants working abroad send home, is hitting record highs.
