COVID-19: Memorial created in U.S. capital

The U.S economy is on the path to recovery from COVID-19, but needs continued stimulus spending to stay on track.

That's the message from the head of the U.S. Central bank to Congress this Tuesday as the number of U.S. deaths topped 200,000.

20,000 American flags were placed by the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. Members of the COVID Memorial Project planted the flags to honor the more than 200,000 Americans who have died from COVID-19.

President Donald Trump's opponents continue to accuse him of undermining public health experts.
