Hundreds of people gathered in New Delhi after a victim of alleged gang-rape died of her injuries earlier this week.
The young woman was from India’s downtrodden Dalit community.
She was allegedly attacked on September 14th, near her house.
The family of the victim accused four high caste Hindu men who have been arrested but not charged by the police.
The caste system still influences the region.
India is one of the most dangerous countries for women.
According to federal data, a rape occurs every 15 minutes.
Despite the fact that India has tough anti-rape laws.
That even includes death penalty, for raping a child 12 or younger.
