Indonesians are protesting labor reforms in a new “jobs creation” bill that protesters say will weaken environmental protections and worker’s rights.

Parliament gave final approval for the bill on Monday and the president is expected to sign the bill quickly. The Indonesian government argues the bill will draw more investments to the country, but the bill has drawn heavy criticism. The Guardian reports mandatory paid leave for childbirth and other benefits are exited to be reduced or eliminated.
