Cemeteries remain closed in Mexico, even on the Day of the Dead

The Day of the Dead or Diadelos Muertos is an important annual festival in Mexican culture. Traditionally, families flock to local cemeteries to honor their dead relatives as part of the celebrations on Nov. 2. But cemeteries have been closed since the pandemic began and authorities have said they'll remain closed, even on the Day of the Dead.
