What is it like to be homeless during the pandemic?

Many people are living on the streets and in hotels and vehicles after layoffs and life circumstances due to the pandemic has cut off their incomes. The pandemic has also put a strain on systems designed to help people get back on their feet, and isolation and lack of jobs bring further challenges. Advocates encourage people to donating time, funds, food, and essential items like socks and toothbrushes. They also want to dispel stereotypes surrounding homelessness and promote organizations that help people get back on their feet.
