Chileans are voting Sunday on whether to rewrite the country's constitution. The referendum has been a central demand of protests that began just over a year ago. They were triggered by a hike in transport costs but came to include a wider debate over the levels of inequality in the country. If a new constitution were to be drafted, Chileans would vote in 2022 to approve or reject it.
