Hurricane Eta passed through parts of Nicaragua and Honduras late Tuesday night with dangerous force. It slowed to tropical storm speeds on Wednesday morning as it continued on a path toward the U.S. Gulf Coast.   

Two people are reported to have died in Nicaragua, and one in Honduras as a result of the storm.
