COVID-19: Women in Colombia most affected by rising unemployment

The coronavirus. pandemic has left millions unemployed in Colombia because of lockdown measures. But according to recent data, the situation has been hardest for women. 

Around 4.2 million Colombians reportedly lost their jobs in July compared to the same month last year. According to the Colombian government, women between the ages of 25 has been the most affected population. In this age group, twice as many women than men have lost their jobs.
