U.S economy adds more than 600,000 new jobs in October

The U.S added 638,000 jobs in October, bringing the unemployment rate down to 6.9%.

It’s a dramatic reduction from a jobless rate of nearly 15 percent after COVID-19 first struck and builds on economic growth of more than 33 percent in the last three months.

But those jobs numbers represent the slowest growth in five months, with millions out of work for more than six months.

But experts have warned that the picture is far from rosy.
