EU extends sanctions on Venezuelan government for another year

The European Union has extended its sanctions on the Venezuelan government for another year, accusing individuals of "undermining democracy, the rule of law and respect for human rights".

The sanctions include travel bans and an arms embargo.

President Nicolas Maduro has accused the EU of following orders from the Trump administration.
