The threat of white nationalism in the wake of the 2020 election

Researchers have voiced concerns over the threat of white nationalist and right-wing extremism in the U.S. as the Trump administration winds down.

There are now concerns as these extremists have joined in the ranks of other right-wing social media agitators to attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the 2020 Presidential election.

Sophie Bjork-James, assistant professor of the Practice in Anthropology, with a focus on race and racism at Vanderbilt University, discusses the threat that White Nationalism poses even after the election, how it crept into right-wing political movement and what is needed to maintain a multiracial democracy.
