Restaurants brace for new COVID-19 restrictions

Updated 2020.11.19 03:49 GMT+8

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has issued a new stay-at-home advisory following a surge in COVID-19 cases in the city.

The measures will take effect Monday and last for 30 days.

The action follows an Illinois statewide ban on indoor restaurant dining that was imposed late last month.

The decisions are a further blow to the already struggling restaurant industry.
