COVID-19: How schools and parents react to school closures in NYC

Just eight weeks after opening schools to partial in-person instruction, New York City public schools are now switching to remote learning until further notice.

The move comes after the city's coronavirus test positivity rate hit a benchmark triggering the closures.

Some parents have expressed their frustration saying officials aren't following the science and data that indicates students aren't big spreaders of the virus.
