Millions of air passengers are ignoring health advice to avoid flying for the U.S Thanksgiving holiday. 

The country's top immunologist says air travel threatens to worsen soaring COVID-19 cases across the country. 

But with their industry decimated by the pandemic, airlines and airports are desperate for even a fraction of the revenues that the busiest travel period of the year generates.
