Argentina​’s Senate is debating a one-off wealth tax that affects roughly 10,000 of the country’s richest citizens.

It is aimed at raising over $3 billion for social spending to help families hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

But opponents say it could ultimately damage for the country’s image and scare off foreign investment.
