Fourteen koalas that were injured in last year’s devastating bushfires in eastern Australia have been returned to their habits with the help of veterinarians. According to the World Wildlife Fund, 60,000 koalas were hurt or killed in last year’s deadly “black summer” bushfires that consumed Australia. Three billion animals in total were affected by last year’s crisis.
