A report from the United Nations found that the number of people displaced globally surpassed 80 million in 2020, more than 1% of the world’s population, including nearly 30 million refugees.
According to research from the UN’s refugee agency, UNHCR, said violence in Syria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Somalia and Yemen drove a major amount of the recent displacement. Here are some of the scenes of people who are facing a worsening global displacement crisis.
