U.S. hospitals are seeing record-high numbers of COVID-patients- 104,600 in the past week according to the COVID Tracking Project. Many hospitals are running out of beds to treat the sick, as the country reaches an all-time high of positive cases.   A hospital in Massachusetts converted one of their cardiac step down units into a COVID ICU.  A children’s hospital in Missouri has begun admitting adult patients and lending beds, as the rising wave of infection threatens to overwhelm nearby hospitals.  A hospital in California has set up  triage tents in the parking lot to handle the overflow at its 200 bed facility.
