Is the world facing a mental health crisis? With more than 72.5 million cases and 1.6 million deaths, COVID-19 is impacting lives across the globe. 

Although the first stages of vaccine distribution and immunization have begun in the U.S., it will still take months for the vaccine to be readily available to the general public. 

And public health officials are warning of a deadly winter, as people travel and gather for the holidays. 

Where does this leave our mental health?

Dr. Gregory Jantz, a mental health expert who specializes in behavioral disorders and addiction, says the uncertainty of what lies ahead during the pandemic, is fueling anxiety and a rise in self-destructive behavior.
