More than 300 “ice miners” have created a world of ice and snow in Harbin, China on the banks of the frozen Songhua river.

The annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival opened last week, and will continue through February.

Many of the ice structures are recreations of actual buildings and items around the world. The ice sculptures are colorfully lit at night, making it one of the best times to visit.
