Thousands of Trump supporters rallied at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., to show their support for the outgoing president a day before Congress convenes to officially confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 Presidential election. 

Tensions are high in the region, with the D.C. National Guard called in to assist police in the influx of people.
