A ‘non-scalable’ fence was erected around the U.S. Capitol grounds Thursday. Security efforts have been stepped up after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building Wednesday. The 7-foot fence will be in place for at least 30 days, through the inauguration of President-elect Biden. National Guardsmen assisted in snaking the fencing around the Capitol complex. The fencing will run from Constitution Avenue, Independence Avenue, and First Ave to the front of the Capitol pond.
