On top of the COVID-19 pandemic, the residents of Indonesia are grappling with multiple crises at once, with emergency and first-aid services stretched thin Monday.

Ten straight days of rain have flooded the South Kalimantan province of the island of Borneo, with evacuees now living at a bus terminal in Banjarmasin.  Rescuers search for more victims of a Saturday landslide that killed 32 people in Sumedang, West Java province.

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit Majene, West Sulawesi Province Friday, killing more than 46 people and injuring more than 800.

Mount Semeru and Mount Merapi are both showing volcanic activity, spewing hot ash and smoke miles into the sky.  Mount Merapi erupted hot lava Monday, evacuating hundreds.

Indonesian navy personnel are still carrying out recovery operations for the remains of the 62 victims of Sriwijaya Air flight SJ 182, which crashed into the Java sea, at Tanjung Priok port on January 9.
