Russian authorities have converted Moscow’s Krylatskoye Ice Palace, normally used for ice and speed skating events, into a temporary hospital for patients with COVID-19.
Over 100 doctors and nurses have been deployed to the facility, and more than 1,300 hospital beds equipped with oxygen tanks take up the former ice rink’s speed skating track.
There are currently about 600 people being treated at the Ice Palace facility. Moscow reported 6,360 new infections in the capital Monday.
