U.S. state of Arizona grappling with COVID surge

The state of Arizona has been named as one of the worst COVID-19 hotspots in the U.S., with its coronavirus cases and deaths breaking multiple records in recent weeks. 

Earlier in January, the state has marked its highest weekly average deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, as its ICU capacities reached dangerously low levels.
