Hundreds of Australians have had to flee their homes Wednesday, as a bushfire that ignited Monday on the outskirts of Perth continues to grow. The fire has already burned more than 20,000 acres and destroyed more than 70 homes. Communities near the blaze are being urged to leave or take shelter.
State officials are asking that people prioritize their immediate safety over the risk of contracting coronavirus, which they say is relatively low.
