While the roll-out of ​COVID-19 vaccines is well underway in many parts of the world including Asia, Europe and North America, ​some countries in Latin America are just getting started or have yet to begin. 

This is of concern to global health experts, as the number of cases in the region remains high and there are fears that the crisis could drag on longer there than in other parts of the world.
