The urn carrying the ashes of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was laid in the U.S. Capitol, as lawmakers paid respects for the fallen officer. President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden paid respects Tuesday evening. 

Following the memorial, Sicknick was transported to Arlington Cemetery.

Sicknick was killed during the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, after then-President Donald Trump urged supporters in a speech to “fight like hell” to overturn his defeat in the 2020 Presidential election.
