For most of January, the U.S. state of Arizona has had the highest rate of new COVID-19 cases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

And although new infections and hospitalizations have declined slightly over the last week, at least three known cases of the U.K. variant of COVID-19 have been identified, prompting health authorities to ramp up their vaccination efforts.  CGTN's Ediz Tiyansan reports.
