China's Ambassador to the U.S. Cui Tiankai recently addressed his Chinese New Year greetings to all Chinese citizens living in the U.S. in an open letter. 

In this letter, he urged all Chinese citizens living in the U.S. to follow safety measures to protect themselves amid the COVID-19 pandemic and encouraged them to fight for their legitimate rights and interests if needed.  

The world will defeat the coronavirus eventually, Cui said and he hoped that China and the U.S. could keep to the right direction of developing a relationship based on cooperation, as both countries are looking for new opportunities to boost economic recovery and growth.
