Hundreds of thousands of protesters continue to march across Myanmar in a general strike against the military takeover. It is one of the largest nationwide displays of opposition to the military since it took over three weeks ago.
Sunday night the army broadcast a message on state-run MRTV, saying protesters were “ inciting the people, especially emotional teenagers and youths, to a confrontation path where they will suffer the loss of life”.
One female protester has already died after being shot in the head in Naypyitaw when police were attempting to disperse a crowd last week.
