A historical moment in Colombia’s transitional justice took place this month. 

Former commanders from Colombia’s demobilized guerrilla group – the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC – conceded they committed crimes against humanity during their 50-year armed insurgency against the government.
