The U.S. Biden administration is working to roll back a Trump policy known as "remain in Mexico," where asylum seekers had to stay in Mexico pending court hearings.

Thousands of migrants still have active immigration court cases and are waiting in Mexico but officials say it will take time to work through the backlog.
