Ambitious designs go online as Paris Fashion Week begins

Paris Fashion Week 2021 began Monday with no official catwalk, instead taking the designs online amid COVID-19 precautions. Virtual videos and live streams will take the place of guest-packed runway shows since every element of the fashion industry has been turned upside down from the ongoing pandemic.

This week’s event will showcase new looks from over 90 brands, including 26-year-old newcomer Victor Weinsanto, and Chloé’s Uruguayan-born designer Gabriela Hearst presenting her first collection.
