Some 19 Latin American countries have joined China’s Belt and Road Initiative over the past four years.

But it’s been a bumpy 12 months because of the coronavirus pandemic, which has disrupted supply chains and manufacturing.

Nevertheless, Cuba is pushing ahead on key projects.
