2021 marks the start of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan. The draft of China’s economic roadmap for the next five years is set to be approved during the plenary session of the National People’s Congress.  

China rolled out the first five-year plan back in 1953.  Except for the period of 1963 to 1965, a total of 13 of these guidelines have been made… and, significantly, implemented.

Exactly what does it entail?  And what does it hope to achieve?  Gerald Tan gives us the gist.
