On this International Women’s Day, many women have little to celebrate.

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed many out of the work force. And, many bear the primary responsibility of caring for children, after schools closed to in-person classes.

Officials fear women will find it difficult to recover the ground they lost when the economy improves.
