Brazil Supreme Court judge annuls ‘Lula’ conviction

Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is again in the spotlight of Brazilian politics, following a Supreme Court decision that opens a path for him to run for re-election in 2022.

The former leader, known popularly as 'Lula', had been barred from political office following his criminal convictions tied to the massive Car Wash corruption scandal.
