COVID-19: U.S. surpasses 100 million COVID-19 vaccines administered

More than 100 million COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the U.S. according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

With 2.9 million more doses since yesterday, the country also reached a new daily record on Friday.

As COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues across the U.S., President Biden is promising all adults will be eligible for a vaccine by May 1st.

He's also made the goal of Americans being able to celebrate the July 4th Independence Day holiday in small groups.

A late-stage UK trial has shown the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is 96% effective toward the original COVID-19 strain, according to the company.

The vaccine is also 86% effective toward the UK variant.
