This week high-ranking Chinese and U.S. officials are expected to meet in Anchorage, Alaska. The city is located roughly halfway between Washington and Beijing.

This isn’t the first time Anchorage has welcomed leaders from China. CGTN’s Nathan King spoke with Former Alaska Governor Bill Walker about President Xi Jinping’s 2017 visit to the state.
