The U.S./Mexico border is facing a surge in migrants attempting to enter the U.S.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been instructed to support the processing of unaccompanied migrant children at the border, over the next 90 days.

The U.S. government is working on placing the children with a family member or sponsor until a decision is made in their immigration case, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
