The extradition hearing of Meng Wanzhou, Huawei's CFO, continues Wednesday.

Meng's lawyers contend that her arrest on a U.S.-requested warrant, to face trial for fraud in New York, was deliberately delayed so the border officers could act as proxies for the FBI to conduct a covert criminal investigation.

A lawyer representing the U.S. and Canadian Ministry of Justice attempted to avoid responding to many issues raised by the defense lawyer related to alleged abuses of process in the arrest of Meng.

Instead, he claimed that Meng's lawyer failed to prove that Canadian and the U.S. authorities cooperated in the arrest and urged the judge to reject the defense team's allegations.
